Life Begins at 60!



Del Norte offers a very unique program designed for our 60+ members. The Better Half of Life (BHOL) Program has classes designed for the senior exerciser as well as social events and "clubs within the club".

While most of our Group Fitness classes can be modified for each individual, we have developed specific classes that fit the needs of our senior members. BHOL classes include:

  • Stable & Strong (balance and strength)

  • Aerolite (low impact aerobic workout)

  • Arthritis Tai Chi (builds concentration)

  • Aquatic Fitness Classes (muscle toning and cardio)

  • Mind/Body Flow (relieve stress and increase flexibility)

  • BODYVIVE™


BHOL Social Activities
We are currently hosting several social clubs within the BHOL program. Regular clubs include our Bridge Club that meets every Thursday at 12:30pm and our Book Club that meets monthly on the second Friday of the month at 12:30pm. We also arrange a variety of seasonal trips to local areas of interest. There is also a monthly luncheon group that meets on the first Tuesday of the month at various local restaurants.

Our "clubs within the Club" are a great way to get to know your fellow members
better and help to build friendships to help keep you motivated to exercise. We are always looking for interested seniors to assist with development of activities and to lead some new groups. The BHOL Ambassadors will assist our coordinator in all aspects of the social programming. If you are interested in becoming an Ambassador, see Doreen at the club.
